SST Revelation series

We have developed the Revelation series to meet the highest demands for a saxophone sound that only the best, old, legendary French saxophones can deliver.

The Revelation series delivers a strong sound center for very strong tone stability. This means that this Neck gives the player the best possible control. The player does not lose control even over forte, the sound remains stable and does not break apart. This guarantees a warm and lively sound with a lot of depth and carrying power (spatial sound) in every range and at every volume.

Due to the strong resonance that Revelation brings to the saxophone, the sound never breaks and the player can control the sound, the lines played very nicely dynamically, for a strong and characterful expression.

Who did we build the Revelation series for?
The Revelation series was built for every player, whether professional or non-professional, with high demands in various musical genres. Revelation is considered an all-rounder for all musical genres except classical music.
We have developed the New Standard series for saxophonists who play classical music alone.

Revelation in combination with old (earlier) Selmer MVI saxophones under
serial number 100000
Revelation delivers at least the high standard of early, best MVI Necks.

This makes Revelation ideally suited as:

• • Replacement if the original Neck is no longer available
  • the original Neck is damaged or already unstable due to general damage or wear and tear from playing

You can also replace a functioning original Neck with the Revelation to protect the original.
The Neck is subjected to heavy loads during play. It is clear that these old bows will not last forever.
If the original Neck is replaced by a Revelation, the original can be protected to preserve its value.

Revelation in combination with later Selmer MVI saxophones from
Serial number over 100 000
The same applies here as for earlier MVI saxophones.
However, later MVI saxophones often do not have the strong sound center that the earlier MVI saxophones have.
With the Revelation you can turn a later MVI saxophone into an earlier one.

Revelation in combination an with old Selmer Balanced Action or SBA
With the Revelation, the musician can convert his BA or SBA into an MVI.
This is very interesting, because the cost of a Revelation is much cheaper than buying an MVI.
In the past, many musicians had to buy both saxophone models, an MVI and a BA or SBA, if they wanted to use these two sound styles.
Today, you can simply put a Revelation on it and you've covered all the requirements of an MVI.

Revelation in combination with all other saxophone brands 
For all current saxophone makes, including all makes and models from the past that are not old Selmer saxophones, the SST Necks are a must.
With a relatively small investment (compared to buying a new instrument), players can convert their saxophone with an SST Neck so that they don't just get a “new” saxophone.
You can modify your saxophone in such a way that you get many times more SOUND VALUE. You can install the important standards in your saxophone that we have already written about here.
If you are planning to buy an instrument, please ask us in advance about the possibilities of upgrading your existing instrument. In most cases, you will not have to buy a new instrument.
If you are planning to buy an instrument for the first time, it is best to plan the additional purchase of an SST Neck!

1. make sure you buy an instrument that has technical stability
2. make sure that the new instrument is comfortable for you to use
3. the price: In principle, it does not matter whether you buy an instrument costing many 1000.00 EURO or a much cheaper instrument. With an SST Neck, you can bring both the expensive and the much cheaper one to the same level.
