The focus of the training was repairs of brass instruments. In 1998, after my apprenticeship, I started my own business, not in the field of brass instruments but in the field of
saxophone. In the metal wind instrument master workshop in Stenzel, woodwind instruments were repaired in addition to metal wind instruments, so I was able to gain my first technical experience with saxophones,
which I expanded after my apprenticeship.
Thanksgiving My thanks go to the Stenzel metal wind instrument manufacturer in Pforzheim for the varied and well-founded training. Special thanks go to
my long-time friend, the brass instrument maker and important trumpet designer Tomomi Kato, who played a major role in the development of SST products. If you want to know how Schucht Sax Technology went on,
please read the SST story here. The history of SST also shows my personal stations.
